Bons Baisers was born in Taghazout in 2016. I discovered this small fishermen village few years before and felt immediately in love with the beauty of its beaches, its light and its colourful streets with lovely berber doors…
Taghazout is the small bohemian village where locals, fishermen, surfers and Morocco’s lovers rub shoulders. I discovered what mean “slow life” and some sun in people’s eyes.
I had the amazing opportunity to be part of the opening of a surf house in Taghazout. During the development of the villa I was able to meet Moroccan handcrafters and to discover their work. Imagine and conceive furnitures, choose textiles and especially rugs was a fascinating job.
Moroccan and berber craftsmanship has become to me a unique combination of beauty, know-how, and use of natural materials.
At that time I was living between Switzerland, France and Morocco. So naturally, little by little, I started to bring back for my Swiss or French friends some handcraft pieces found here and there. Since then life has broadened my horizons to Latin America, Balkans and much more.
I also like to divert this craft to get out of the snapchot “ali baba cave” and to offer more modern and original pieces that bring a bohemian touch to modern interiors.
I offer you to find this spirit through limited and temporary collections. You will find pieces from all over the world that I truly love and that embody this aesthetic of travel, sun and freedom.
